Dear D-ITET members

I hope you have had a good start into 2020!

You have always wondered when the ETZ building was constructed? You would like to find out what the very first webpage of our Department looked like? In the second edition of our quarterly newsletter you will find answers to these questions!

Some regular readers of the D-ITET web news might have noticed – there have been quite a few new developments among D-ITET staff recently. Apart from four appointments in our faculty, I would like to congratulate Michele Magno for taking up his position as Head of the new "Centre for Projects in Education and Teaching" at the beginning of this year.

I am also proud that John Lygeros and Gabriela Hug will lead the newly founded National Centre of Competence in Research on "Dependable Ubiquitous Automation". The aim of the centre is to improve the reliability and flexibility of intelligent systems in the fields of energy management, mobility and industrial manufacturing.

Enjoy DISCOVER D-ITET!

Kind regards,
Vanessa Wood
