Dear all at D-ITET,

I am excited to embark on this new semester with all of you. Let us embrace the opportunities that lie ahead, support one another, and strive for excellence in all that we do.

In particular, I would like to welcome our new students! It is an exciting time for you filled with endless possibilities, growth, and opportunities for both personal and professional development. The University’s primary goal is conveying knowledge and a deeper understanding of science, technology, nature and society. Yet, University is more. It is also about building lifelong friendships, developing critical thinking skills and fostering creativity. Take advantage of the diverse range of courses, extracurricular activities, and resources available to you. Stay with us for both the lectures and tutorials, engage in meaningful discussions, collaborate with your peers, and explore new areas of interest.

We at D-ITET are especially pleased about the new building GLC, which opened its doors recently, and the new infrastructure adding on to the existing facilities of the department. With the new canteen Archimedes and the new takeaway Eureka, we will have new spaces to exchange and enjoy leisure time.

Wishing you all a productive and fulfilling semester!

Warm regards,

Prof. Jürg Leuthold
Head of Department
