Handling of Errors in the ETH DOI system |
To all of our members who register DOIs via our own system (via an OAI-PMH interface or similar) we reccommend checking the errors from time to time. This enables you to have an overview of what is going on. If the errors are resolved, the status of the error messages can manually be changed from "unhandled" to "handled" so they do no longer appear in the list. In our manual, you find instructions on how to do this: Handling of Errors. If you are not sure what the errors mean, you can look them up here: List of Errors and what they mean or ask us at the DOI-Desk.

Update your Contact Information in DataCite Fabrica |
Please make sure your contact information is always up to date in DataCite Fabrica. DataCite uses your contact data to send out important information. When the DOI-Desk sets up a new repository, we always fill in our own contact information and ask you to change it. However, we have noticed that often this does not happen, and your contact details are missing or outdated. Therefore, please take a look at your repository in Fabrica and check whether the contact details are correct. Your find the information on how to do so on DataCite's website: Add Contacts in Fabrica (Consortium Organizations). |
