Dear all at D-ITET,
As we move forward into 2023, I hope the year has started well for each and every one of you. May all your academic endeavors yield positive outcomes and may you continue to develop in every aspect of your lives!
I feel honored to assume my new role as Head of Department and I would like to express my gratitude to my predecessor Klaas Enno Stephan for his hard work in the past two years.
As Head of Department I look forward to working with all of you to further strengthen the department in both teaching and research. Externally, we need to communicate our profile better and make our study programmes more tangible. Internally, we will have to review our processes and simplify the administrative burden as much as possible. We also have to deal with the challenges of our time. These challenges include financial cutbacks or finding solutions to save energy. For instance, D-ITET is supposed to save up to 6% of energy within the next years.
I am optimistic that D-ITET has a successful time ahead, marked by accomplishments, growth, and positive transformations. I am thrilled to work alongside all of you and look forward to the progress we will make as a department in the upcoming months.
Best wishes Prof. Jürg Leuthold Head of Department |

Oxa: New wearable for real-time stress and breathing monitoring
|
|
| Oxa, a new product from D-ITET spin-off Nanoleq, is revolutionizing the way we measure stress and breathing activity in real-time. Unlike traditional devices that only track heart rate and sleep patterns, Oxa offers a comprehensive approach to vital sign monitoring. |
