Dear reader,

In this spring edition, we are excited to share our upcoming events, innovations and opportunities for global development!

At the end of May, we invite you to a public lecture with Dr. Sandile Mbatha, who will speak on Data as Critical Infrastructure for Sustainable Development. Check out the Event section to sign up and discover further events.

We also continue to drive research for global sustainable development – you can read about several projects in the Innovation section, ranging from improvements of water quality in sewage treatment to discussing agroforestry with farmers in Côte d’Ivoire.

We encourage ETH doctoral students to apply for the Honours Programme in Sustainable Transitions, which brings together students from Europe and Africa – you can find more information on the programme in the Learning section.

If you are curious about the experiences of doctoral mentee Harriette Adhiambo Okal, who visited ETH Zurich from Rhodes University, South Africa, for a mentorship stay, check out the People section.

We hope you enjoy the read and discover exciting opportunities!

Best wishes,
The ETH4D Team
