Two New Global Impact Doctoral Fellows |
We are happy to introduce you to the Doctoral Fellows of 2023! Karma Sherub strives to find solutions for mitigating human-wildlife conflict in Bhutan to protect agricultural sites and wildlife alike. Tamirat Haile will be characterising the dynamics of droughts and providing a robust and operational drought forecasting model for the Horn of Africa. |

Breathe Medical – An Official ETH Spin-off Developing an Emergency Ventilator |
While it started as an interdisciplinary research project during the COVID pandemic, breathe medical is now an official ETH Zurich Spin-off. The company is developing a low-cost, high-quality emergency and transport ventilator for settings where patients have limited access to quality emergency care. Congratulations! |

37 International Students to Become Ambassadors for Sustainable Transition |
ETH Zurich has teamed up with four European IDEA League Universities, KNUST in Ghana and Strathmore University in Kenya to offer an honours programme for doctoral students who wish to become ambassadors for a sustainable transition. It will bring together 37 international doctoral students of different academic backgrounds. |

The annual ETH4D Doctoral Colloquium "Research for Development" is an opportunity for students whose research is related to global sustainable development issues, and based in low- or middle-income countries, to present and discuss their work with a diverse group of colleagues. ETH4D Research to Action Grant |
Receive support as a student, senior scientist or post-doc at ETH to discuss your work with practitioners or to develop prototypes to ensure that research results are being used, implemented and disseminated. The current round of applications is open until 31 October 2023.

ETH4D Doctoral Mentorship |
