Dear reader,
We hope the new year started well for you!
«Fast advances in science and technology offer huge potential to unlock innovation for greater humanitarian impact» explains Gilles Carbonnier, the Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). You can learn more about the results of our collaborative projects in the Innovation section – from tools to advance sustainable construction to estimating population density in crisis areas using AI.
Together with our partner university KNUST in Kumasi, Ghana, we've opened applications for our next Summer School on Sustainable Mobility to be held in Ghana in September 2023. We are also happy to announce our current calls for research collaborations and international exchange in the Opportunities section.
If you are curious about our new ETH4D members or the experiences of ETH Master's student Samira Cabdulle, who is currently conducting an ETH4D internship with Helvetas in Tanzania, check out the People’s section.
We look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming Storytelling Event or hearing your ideas for a sustainable future at the SDG Pitch Event!
Best wishes, The ETH4D Team |
