We hope you have started well into the new semester!
We are thrilled to invite you to Together for the SDGs, an exhibition and event programme on the UN Sustainable Development Goals at ETH Zurich from 30 October to 13 November. Another great event programme in German is offered by Treffpunkt Science City on the topic of "Rich and Poor" with many contributions from ETH4D members.
In the past months, we participated in several events at ETH Zurich, including Industry Day 2021, where two projects from our network presented innovative technologies for global health. Read the interview in the Innovation section to learn more. We also recently concluded the ETH Sustainability Summer School "Rethinking Waste" between ETH Zurich and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, featured in the Learning section.

| "Together for the SDGs": Exhibition and Events, 30 Oct - 13 Nov |
| We are excited to invite you to an exhibition and event programme centered on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) taking place at ETH Zurich between 30 October and 13 November 2021. You will engage with the SDGs through art and learn about research and education at ETH Zurich that contribute to global sustainable development. The event programme includes a career panel, pitch event, quiz, and more. Registration and Covid certificate are required. We look forward to welcoming you to the exhibition opening on 3 November 2021, from 17:00.

| Treffpunkt Science City: "Rich and Poor" |
| How does inequality arise and how can it be remedied? How did Switzerland get so rich? And how do ETH Zurich researchers contribute to solving global challenges? This fall, the public science programme Treffpunkt Science City (held in German) will focus on the topic of "Rich and Poor". The dates of the Experience Sundays with lectures, lab tours, demos, and panel discussions are 31 October, 7 November, 21 November and 28 November 2021.

| Review: Innovations for Sustainable Development and Food Systems at Scientifica |
| At our joint booth with the World Food System Center, visitors to Scientifica talked with researchers about innovations for sustainable development and food systems. Four interactive displays showed a variety of current projects from the fields of agricultural, food and water supply research. |

| Interview: Breathe and Diaxxo present innovative health technologies at Industry Day |
| At this year's Industry Day, two projects from the ETH4D network presented their innovative technologies for global health: "breathe", a low-cost ventilator and "peakPCR", a fast PCR testing device. | KNUST - ETH Zurich Summer School: Rethinking Waste – Sustainable Solid Waste Management |
| Two weeks of solid waste, design thinking, prototyping and collaboration: The first hybrid Summer School "Rethinking Waste" between ETH Zurich and KNUST in Ghana was a success!
