Reatch nanoTalks: Cloudy with a chance of science art |
In today’s data-driven world, seeing really is believing. One of the easiest ways to understand data is through visual representations. However, creating helpful visualizations is no easy task. From data that can tell us what the climate was like and is going to be like in the future to fun ways of understanding chemistry, speakers Dr Simon Scherrer (MeteoSchweiz) and Chrysa Chouliara (freelance visual communicator and Visual Communication Specialist at ETH Zürich) will explain how they use data visualization to help bring data and scientific concepts to the public.
Join the event at 18:30 on May 30 2024 in the ETHZ PBLabs space (RZ building, room D8, Clausiusstrasse 59, 8006 Zürich) for these exciting talks and an apéro! More more about the Reatch nanoTalks see here. |

ETH Public Tour at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering at ETH Zurich in Basel |
How does cancer interact with its environment? This question is the focus of the Laboratory for Systems Physiology at ETH Zurich. Here, liver metastases are investigated in order to better understand the interactions between liver and cancer cells. The researchers use three-dimensional cell models, so-called organoids, to reproduce metastases in the laboratory. You can find out more about this promising research method on a guided tour of the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering at ETH Zurich in Basel (in German). Register on the website. |
