The IT Services of ETH Zurich will continue
to support you during the Corona period
Many ETH members are thinking about how they can hold classes or work from home during these difficult times due to the coronavirus. Learn how IT Services can help you do this.

Lecturers will find several scenarios covering alternatives for teaching on the page Options for remote teaching. These include ways in which lecturers can reach their students via video connections, or how they can record lectures in auditoriums or even at home and then make them available to students.

ETH staff also have several tools at their disposal for working from home. Learn here how you can, for example, redirect your telephone line, access your data at ETH via VPN and hold meetings with your colleagues from home.

Current developments surrounding the coronavirus in relation to ETH can be found on the SGU page.

Wie die ETH ins Internet kam
How the ETH got onto the Internet
The Internet first came to Switzerland around 30 years ago. You can read our research on how ETH was connected to the Internet back then and which predecessors there were in the ITS Blog.

Please contact us if you have further information so that we can record this for the ETH story.

Informatiktage 2020 at ETH cancelled
From 23 to 28 March, 2020, ETH wanted to open its IT doors during the Informatiktage 2020. Safety first. Which means all ETH programs have been cancelled.

The IT Services (ITS), together with the Department of Computer Science (D-INFK), represents ETH Zurich at the Informatiktage. Our goal is to bring information technology and the university closer to the public and to inspire as many people as possible for IT.

Over the past few months, those responsible at ITS and D-INFK have put together some exciting programs. However, due to developments surrounding the coronavirus, we have had to take preventive measures. We would however be very pleased to welcome you to other programs at ETH. Further information available on the Informatiktage page.
